Aqualis No Fungal Pro is a universal water-based pre-treatment and preservative suitable for use on properly prepared timber, wood composites, concrete, and stone pavers. It inhibits algae, fungal, lichen, and mildew regrowth.
Raw Timber:
1. Ensure the surface is dry, clean, and free from dirt, grease, and biota.
2. Treat with Timber Clean solution, pre-wetting the surface and surrounding areas, then scrub with a soft bristle broom or brush. Allow to stand for 3-5 minutes without drying out.
3. Neutralize the surface with Timber Prep solution, scrubbing again and rinsing thoroughly.
4. Lightly sand with 80-150 grit paper to remove raised fibers or impurities.
5. Test water absorption; if water beads, repeat cleaning steps.
6. Apply diluted No Fungal Pro liberally and allow to dry before applying coatings.
Wood Plastic Composites:
Extreme Cleaning:
1. Pre-wet the area with water.
2. Dilute Composite Bright (1 part to 4 parts water).
3. Apply and allow to soak for 2-3 minutes (5-10 minutes for stubborn stains).
4. Scrub with a stiff bristle brush.
5. Thoroughly rinse off with water.
Light Cleaning:
1. Dilute Composite Bright (1 part to 10 parts water).
2. Pre-wet surface with water.
3. Apply and allow to soak for 2-3 minutes (5-10 minutes for stubborn stains).
4. Scrub and rinse.
Maintenance:
– Microbial growth depends on factors like ventilation, moisture, and debris. Address underlying issues for long-term prevention.
– Regularly inspect coated decking for signs of weathering or damage.
– Wash the surface with Deck Bright and let it dry.
– For WPC, treat exposed areas with Composite Bright; for timber, use Timber Clean/Timber Prep on grey areas.
– Re-treat all cleaned surfaces with Diluted No Fungal Pro and allow to dry completely.
– Apply maintenance topcoats as needed: Aqualis Composite Sealer for WPC and Aqualis H2Oil for timber.
