Introducing Aqualis Timber Prep, your solution for rejuvenating weathered wood surfaces without harsh chemicals. Specially formulated to restore greyed timber to its natural beauty, this environmentally friendly cleaner is gentle yet effective. Unlike bleach-based alternatives, Aqualis Timber Prep won’t harm natural timber fibers. It effortlessly removes ground-in dirt and contaminants, preparing aged wood for a fresh coat of Aqualis Timber Finish.
To ensure safety and protect surrounding areas, cover all surfaces needing protection with plastic sheeting. Wet plants and shrubs in the cleaning area thoroughly, and take caution on wet surfaces, especially steps and stairs. Avoid using on aluminum to prevent discoloration or etching; cover aluminum surfaces with plastic sheeting. If accidental contact occurs, wash affected areas with plenty of water. Follow safety instructions outlined in the Safety Datasheet, including wearing safety goggles, gloves, and protective clothing.
For best results, follow these application instructions:
Wood: After thoroughly wetting the surface, apply Timber Prep liberally with a suitable applicator and scrub with a stiff synthetic brush. Allow it to stand for 10-20 minutes, then rinse with a garden hose or pressure washer. Allow 24 hours to dry before applying Aqualis H2Oil water-based exterior finish.
Masonry: After wetting the surface, apply Timber Prep liberally and scrub. Allow at least 24 hours to dry or until the moisture content meets the requirements for the topcoat.
For rust stains, apply Timber Prep liberally to the wet surface and scrub into the stain. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing with a high-pressure hose or water jet.
For nail stains, apply Timber Prep to the wet surface and scrub until the stain disappears. Rinse with a high-pressure hose or water jet.
For composite surfaces, follow the same procedure as with wood and masonry.
Be cautious with painted surfaces and metal fixtures, as Timber Prep may dull them if left on for too long. Quickly rinse or wipe off any excess with a wet cloth as needed.
