ILVA TW710 is a professional mono/bi-component water-based clear converter and tintable base for industrial timber finishing applications. It can be used as either a 1K (mono-component) coating or as a 2K (bi-component) system with the addition of ILVA TXW13 hardener.
As a clear converter, TW710 can be used as supplied for a clear finish or tinted to create a wide range of colours, providing a flexible base for professional timber finishing systems.
TW710 is available in two sheen levels:
TW710 can be applied as a 1K mono-component coating, without the addition of hardener.
For increased performance, TW710 can be converted to a 2K bi-component system using ILVA TXW13 hardener.
The addition of hardener provides increased performance where a 2K coating system is required.
TW710 is designed for professional spray application, including Airmix systems and automatic finishing plants.
Under recommended room conditions of 18–22°C and 65–70% relative humidity:
Accelerated hot-air drying can substantially reduce drying times.
For best results, apply at an ambient temperature of 18–22°C, with relative humidity between 65–70% and timber moisture content between 8–14%.
Application should not take place below 15°C or above 30°C. Drying temperatures should remain above 15°C.
TW710 has a shelf life of 12 months from production when stored correctly.
As a water-based coating, protect the product from excessive heat and cold. Store indoors between 5°C and 35°C, in a properly ventilated area away from direct sunlight.
TW710 is a professional timber coating system. Final performance will depend on substrate preparation, application equipment, environmental conditions, coating thickness and the complete coating cycle used.
Always test the complete coating system on the intended substrate before commencing production and refer to the current ILVA Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet before use.
