Description
Juniper-Infused Waterproofer is a penetrating exterior timber treatment developed to help protect timber from the damaging effects of moisture, mould, mildew and decay.
Made in collaboration with Vermont Natural Coatings, this unique formulation incorporates juniper, one of nature’s most effective natural wood preservatives. The coating penetrates into the timber structure where it helps regulate moisture movement, reducing the conditions that contribute to timber deterioration.
Unlike traditional film-forming coatings, Juniper-Infused Waterproofer creates a clear, film-free finish that allows the natural beauty of the timber to remain visible while providing long-lasting water repellency. Because the coating penetrates rather than forming a heavy surface film, maintenance can often be simpler than conventional exterior coating systems.
The zero-VOC water-based formulation offers low odour application and easy clean-up with water, making it suitable for a wide range of exterior timber projects including decking, screening, cladding, pergolas, outdoor furniture and architectural timber features.
Juniper-Infused Waterproofer provides a natural appearance while helping extend the service life of exterior timber exposed to rain and moisture.
Surface Preparation
• Remove all existing coatings and return the substrate to clean, sound timber.
• Sand raw timber with 120 grit followed by 180 grit.
• Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, grease and contaminants.
Product Preparation
• Stir thoroughly before use.
• Do not shake.
Application

• If more than 1 hour has passed before recoating, allow the coating to dry for a total of 4 hours before sanding.
• Sand between coats with 240 grit if grain raise is present or if the maximum recoat window has been exceeded.
