Description
PAS5AB3 is a pigmented white polyurethane sealer designed to build a smooth, consistent base across a wide range of timber substrates and MDF. Its high solid content helps achieve strong coverage and film build in fewer coats, making it well suited to production environments where consistency and efficiency matter. The finish sands cleanly, providing a reliable foundation for subsequent topcoats and colour systems.
Ilva’s PAS5AB3 Polyurethane Undercoat is a smart choice for automated spray systems. Its extended pot life of up to 5 hours means fewer stoppages and less waste—ideal for maintaining rhythm on robotic lines.
Even better, it doesn’t raise the fibres in MDF panels. That means less sanding, fewer defects, and a smoother, more consistent result across the entire run.
Engineered for productivity. Built for performance.
Fast drying and predictable handling make it easy to work with across different spray setups, helping maintain workflow without compromising the final result. Suitable for both light and dark timbers, it delivers a uniform surface ready for finishing.
Application
Mix with TX19 hardener at 30% (by weight) and thin with an appropriate thinner as required. Apply via airless, airmix, or conventional spray at 130–150 g/m² per coat.
Allow to flash off (dust free ~10–15 minutes), sand after approximately 4 hours, and recoat as needed. Maintain consistent film build and observe recommended drying conditions for best results.
