CL200 2K Clear is a high-performance two-component acrylic polyurethane clearcoat designed for use over solventborne basecoats in a clear-over-base system. Engineered for fast drying, excellent polishability, and superior chemical resistance, it delivers a durable, high-gloss finish suited to both spot and full-panel repairs.

Available hardeners — CL640 (Fast), CL650 (Medium), and CL680 (Slow) — allow flexibility across varying conditions and job sizes.

Application Instructions

Mixing Ratio (by volume):

• 2 parts CL200 Clear

• 1 part Hardener (CL640, CL650, or CL680)

Pot Life: Approx. 4 hours at 20°C
Viscosity (DIN 4): 14–16 seconds

Spray Gun Setup:

• Compliant guns: 1.3–1.5 mm tip | 10–15 cm distance

• Conventional guns: 1.4–1.6 mm tip | 3–4 bar pressure

• Apply 2 coats, allowing 5 minutes flash-off between coats.

Dry Film Thickness (DFT): 55–65 microns

Drying Times:

IR Drying:

• Flash-off 5 min

• Half power 5 min

• Full power 15–20 min (distance ~80 cm)

Recoatability:

• Any time after tape-free time

Clean-Up:

• Use solvent-based gunwash

Optional Adjustments:

• Up to 5% basecoat thinner may be used for fine viscosity tuning
