Nason Industrial All Purpose Etch Primer is a single-pack epoxy PVB etch primer designed for direct application to a wide range of metal substrates. It provides excellent adhesion, fast dry times, and flexible performance across both ferrous and non-ferrous surfaces. This primer can be used as wet-on-wet or with intermediate sanding and serves as a cost-effective foundation for high-performance topcoat systems.

Application Instructions
Surface Preparation:

Degrease thoroughly using an approved wax and grease remover.

For aluminium, final clean with AXT350 Axalta Multi Acrylic Thinner.

Sand using P120 grit paper to ensure mechanical adhesion.
Mixing & Thinning:
-
Mix thoroughly before use.
-
Add up to 15% by volume of AXT350 Axalta Multi Acrylic Thinner or 861-62 Nason Industrial Epoxy Reducer.

Filter material prior to application.
Spray Gun Setup:
-
Conventional: 1.6–1.8 mm nozzle at 45–60 psi (3.5–4.5 bar)

Airless: 1.3–1.5 mm tip at minimum 1500 psi

Apply 2 coats, allowing 10–15 minutes flash-off between coats.
Drying Times (20°C / 50% RH):

Touch dry: 30 minutes
-
Sand dry: 60 minutes
-
Full cure: 90 minutes
-
Recoat window: from 15–30 minutes (eggshell gloss) up to 24 hours. Sand after 24 hours if recoating.
Coverage:

8–10 m² per litre at 15–20 μm dry film thickness
Clean Up:
-
Clean equipment immediately after use with AXT350 Axalta Multi Acrylic Thinner or 861-62 Nason Industrial Epoxy Reducer.

Nason Industrial Silver Enamel (303-30)

Nason 2K PU Topcoats (NI610/620)
Do not recoat with polyester or epoxy primers.
