Ilva PW710 is a tintable white water-based topcoat designed for professional interior timber and MDF finishing systems. It can be used as a 1K coating or as a 2K system when mixed with Ilva TXW13 hardener, offering flexibility for different performance and production needs.
PW710 provides excellent coverage, adhesion, and colour consistency while maintaining low VOC emissions. It delivers a smooth, even finish with refined surface appearance and durable performance. Ideal for furniture, cabinetry, doors, and interior joinery, PW710 demonstrates the reliability and sophistication of Ilva’s European coating technology.
Available in two sheen levels — PW710 (Sheen 20) and PW710/10 (Sheen 10) — and suitable for tinting across a wide colour range.

Application Instructions
Mixing Ratio:

By Weight: 100 parts PW710 + 10 parts TXW13 Hardener (for 2K use)

By Volume: 100 parts PW710 + 11.2 parts TXW13 Hardener

Pot Life: Approximately 2 hours at 20°C
Viscosity (Ford 6 Cup): 45 ± 4 seconds (ready to spray)
Solid Content (mixture): ~50%
Application Method:

Apply by Airmix spray at 120–150 g/m² per coat (3.9–4.9 wet mils).

Ambient temperature: 18–22°C, relative humidity 65–70%.

Apply one or two uniform coats.

Allow adequate flash time between coats.
Drying:

Air dry (18–22°C):

Stackable: 24 hours

Fully dry: 96 hours

Hot air drying (20–60°C stages):

Stackable: 4 hours (with spacers)

Fully dry: 4 hours

May be thinned with up to 5% water if required.
Surface Preparation:

Apply over clean, sanded timber or MDF with moisture content between 8–14%.

Ensure surface is free of contaminants and dust.

Stir thoroughly before use.
Clean-Up:

Clean tools and spray equipment immediately after use with water.
Storage Conditions:

Store between 5°C and 35°C in a cool, ventilated area.

Protect from frost, heat, and direct sunlight.
Important:

Apply only when substrate and ambient temperature are between 15°C and 30°C.

Ensure adequate ventilation during application and drying.
