Usage Instructions

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure timber moisture content is below 12%.

  • Sand to at least 180 grit and remove all dust and contaminants.

  • Avoid application over oily woods or areas containing sap.

Application

  1. Apply Diamoseal Clear Sealer as the first coat to seal the surface.

  2. Allow 1–2 hours to dry, then sand lightly (320–400 grit).

  3. Apply Diamolac Clear Lacquer in light, even coats until desired build and finish are achieved.

  4. Allow 20–30 minutes between coats.

  5. Recoat time: 2–3 hours at ambient temperature or 30 minutes at 40°C.

Coverage
Each 298 ml can provides coverage of approximately 1.5–2 m², depending on application thickness and surface type.

Notes & Precautions

  • Heavy coats may extend drying time and increase risk of film defects.

  • Not suitable for exterior use or wet environments.

  • Clear lacquer films do not provide UV protection; timber may darken over time.

  • For bench-tops or high-wear areas, use a two-component polyurethane system instead.
