Ilva PLF100 SheenSeries is a pigmented polyurethane fire-retardant topcoat developed for professional interior use where both a refined finish and fire protection are required. Available in multiple sheen levels, it provides a smooth, even surface with excellent chemical, mechanical, and flame-resistant performance.
Formulated for use over Ilva polyurethane primers such as PAF100, this two-component coating delivers high solids, strong coverage, and a durable, elegant surface ideal for cabinetry, furniture, doors, wall panels, and other architectural joinery.

Application Instructions
Mixing Ratio:
-
By Weight: 100 parts PLF100 + 50 parts TX50 Hardener + 30 parts TZ33 Thinner

By Volume: 100 parts PLF100 + 62.5 parts TX50 Hardener + 42 parts TZ33 Thinner
Pot Life:
-
Approximately 6 hours at 20°C
Viscosity (Ford 4 Cup): 15 ± 2 seconds (ready for use)
Surface Preparation:
-
Apply over properly sanded and dust-free Ilva polyurethane primer such as PAF100.

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of contaminants.
Application Method:

Suitable for conventional, HVLP, airless, or air-assisted spray systems.

Apply 1–2 coats to achieve full coverage and desired film build.

Recommended wet film thickness: approx. 100 microns (3.9 wet mils).
Flash and Drying Times (20°C / 50% RH):

Flash-off between coats: 10–15 minutes

Dust free: ~20 minutes

Sandable: 2–3 hours

Stackable or handle dry: 8–12 hours
Clean-Up:
-
Clean equipment immediately after use with TZ33 Thinner or a compatible polyurethane cleaning solvent.
