Features

  • Slow thinner designed for polyurethane (PU) coatings

  • Extends open time and improves flow-out

  • Ideal for warmer conditions or intricate work

  • Helps achieve a smoother, more even finish

  • Suitable for use with Ilva PU systems (refer to TDS for mixing ratios)

  • Always test before full use – final result depends on application and conditions

When using professional coatings, the final result depends on more than just the quality of the product. For best results, keep the following in mind:

1. General Considerations

  • The finish depends on many variables, including:

    • Environmental conditions

    • The condition and consistency of the substrate

    • Application method and technique

    • Equipment setup

    • Correct use and preparation of the product

  • In professional and industrial settings, some product waste is expected and not a sign of product fault.

  • Colour and appearance may vary based on substrate type, prep work, and application conditions. Always test first to confirm the result is suitable for your needs.

2. Product Responsibility

  • We stand by the chemical and physical specifications listed on the product’s Technical Data Sheet.

  • If the product doesn’t meet the declared specs, we will replace it.

  • However, we can’t be responsible for the final finish, as we have no control over how the product is applied or the conditions on site.

3. Recommended Application Conditions

  • Ambient temperature: 18–22°C

  • Ambient relative humidity: 65–70%

  • Substrate moisture content: 8–14%

4. Storage & Handling

  • Solvent-based products should be stored indoors between 0°C and 35°C, away from direct sunlight, in a ventilated area.

  • Always shake or mix thoroughly before use — especially when combining with hardeners, thinners, or additives.

  • Application and drying should not occur below 15°C or above 30°C.

  • Relative humidity during drying should be between 50–70%.

  • Use only appropriate containers (polyethylene or stainless steel) for decanting.

  • Reseal containers tightly after each use.

5. User Responsibility

It’s up to the user to:

  • Follow all conditions outlined above.

  • Ensure the product is fit for their intended use and environmental conditions.

  • Use spark-proof equipment for solvent-based products.

  • Avoid smoking during use.

  • Comply with all relevant health and safety requirements, including the Safety Data Sheet.
